Ambos is very pleased to announce that Isabelle Buelens has joined the firm as partner.
Isabelle’s practice focuses on the following fields of European and Belgian law:

  • competition law
  • market practices and advertising
  • consumer law
  • vertical agreements: distribution, agency, franchising

She has written extensively in these areas. Isabelle has followed closely the significant regulatory developments in these areas at European level and their implementation into Belgian law.

Isabelle is an experienced litigator in the European and Belgian courts. She has successfully handled a large number of summary proceedings in the area of advertising and passing-off issues.

She provides counsel and represents international and national clients in inquiries and procedures before the European Commission and the Belgian Competition Authority. She has been actively involved in many merger filing procedures before these authorities.

Before joining Ambos, Isabelle worked for more than 20 years at the European department of a leading Belgian business law firm.

Bart Vandereeckt, partner at Ambos: “Over the past years Ambos has established itself as a hands-on independent business law firm. Ambos assists a steadily growing client base with their legal needs in a pragmatic manner. Therefore we are delighted that Isabelle reinforces our commercial and IP practice. She brings a wealth of experience which will allow Ambos to further grow and expand its services.”

Isabelle is delighted with her new challenge: “I am looking forward to leverage my previous experiences in this exciting law firm together with partners who share the same vision and are complementary in experience and background.
